“XRAY is the first in hopefully a suite of free cross browser tools for helping web designers and developers better visualize what their code is doing in a browser.”
Last week I’d managed to find some time to record a new set. It is quite dark, freaky, a bit uptempo and of course it’s Minimal. Hence the name Harmonic Valves. ;)
Hope you like it.
Looks like the problem has been solved. Hopefully it was an one-off.
Always wanted to know how Bro works and what their future plans are? Check the workshop which took place last week. It contains the agenda points and the slides, aswell exercises (and sollutions).
One of the key future features will be implementing timemachine, which is the new way for capturing full-content. I have tested in the past, and looks very promising, although it still need a lot of (polishing) work.
Well, looks like my hosting provider has some issues. Hopefully it will be quickly fixed. Fingers cross…
Still some issues with my site. Hopefully I can fix it ASAP.
Although I’m back, I still need to get things done, like:
- more content
- fix and finalize the template and stylesheets
- put my music files back online
- and probable many more…
So hopefully I can get things done this time…
Well, as you can see i’m back and alive and kicking. It took me quite a long while to figure out what to do with my site.
First I wanted a new design for my site, which is always a good thing. Then I started to work with Django, so the next best thing would be create your own Blog application with Django.
After setting everything up, and creating the templates, I got bored, again.
Then I didn’t know what to do with it. So I let it (as you probably know) for quite a long while.
A few weeks back, a few of my mates where asking what’s happening with my site. So, that made me wondering again, and started to work on it.
This time I moved back to Moveable Type. Why? Well, they really know how to make a good solid Blog application and it’s written in Perl. Some of you wouldn’t even thing about to use Perl anymore, but I still use it for work and it’s quite easy for me to understand. (Am a getting to old?! ;)
So, after installing 3.35 release and starting to create a few templates and stylesheet, 4.0 Beta came passing by me, and checked it out and I must say, it really rocks!
Great new design, easy to handle (yep, I’m definitely getting to old..), and tons of new features. (which as you know is not always a good thing. Especially when it comes to stability and security wise)
Some key features:
- Great new interface
- Build-in reports on Blog activity
- customizable dashboard
- build-in file manager
- auto recovery (one of my favourites)
- a WYSIWYG editor (one that don’t f* up markup language)
- smart template editor (which tells you if you forgot something or made a typo)
- Back- and restore capabilities
- many, many more
And one of the best things, they going to move to Open Source. (again) For an overview, check the new website.
A very nice article from Marcin Wielgoszewski (TSSCI) interviewing Richard Bejtlich from TaoSecurity.
Are you already been flooded with damn image Spam? You know like .gif, .png, .jpg and even now .pdf! I have already had the pleasure to receiving them, but I found a great plugin to use with SpamAssassin, called FuzzyOcr.
FuzzyOcr is a plugin for SpamAssassin written by two guys called Christian Holler and Jorge Valdes, based on another plugin called Ocrplugin, which has been written by Maarten de Boer.
I don’t yet had the time to test it, but what I have read about it on the site, looks very promising.
It has happend before, and it has find it’s way back into Bind. This time in version 9.x. Oh, well, luckly I have recursion disabled for outside world.
