Harmonic Valves

Last week I’d managed to find some time to record a new set. It is quite dark, freaky, a bit uptempo and of course it’s Minimal. Hence the name Harmonic Valves. ;)

Hope you like it.

Back again (update)

Although I’m back, I still need to get things done, like:

  • more content
  • fix and finalize the template and stylesheets
  • put my music files back online
  • and probable many more…

So hopefully I can get things done this time…

Back again! (ish...)

Well, as you can see i’m back and alive and kicking. It took me quite a long while to figure out what to do with my site.

First I wanted a new design for my site, which is always a good thing. Then I started to work with Django, so the next best thing would be create your own Blog application with Django.

After setting everything up, and creating the templates, I got bored, again.

Then I didn’t know what to do with it. So I let it (as you probably know) for quite a long while.

A few weeks back, a few of my mates where asking what’s happening with my site. So, that made me wondering again, and started to work on it.

This time I moved back to Moveable Type. Why? Well, they really know how to make a good solid Blog application and it’s written in Perl. Some of you wouldn’t even thing about to use Perl anymore, but I still use it for work and it’s quite easy for me to understand. (Am a getting to old?! ;)

So, after installing 3.35 release and starting to create a few templates and stylesheet, 4.0 Beta came passing by me, and checked it out and I must say, it really rocks!

Great new design, easy to handle (yep, I’m definitely getting to old..), and tons of new features. (which as you know is not always a good thing. Especially when it comes to stability and security wise)

Some key features:

  • Great new interface
  • Build-in reports on Blog activity
  • customizable dashboard
  • build-in file manager
  • auto recovery (one of my favourites)
  • a WYSIWYG editor (one that don’t f* up markup language)
  • smart template editor (which tells you if you forgot something or made a typo)
  • Back- and restore capabilities
  • many, many more

And one of the best things, they going to move to Open Source. (again) For an overview, check the new website.
